About Us
Carradale Farm Antiques Limited (formerly Tredantiques) is a proprietor owned and run business established in 1982. We offer an honest and reliable one to one trading relationship by Jonathan Tredant or assistant Andrew. Our business has grown yearly since 1982 and hopefully will continue to do so due to our expert knowledge. Jonathan and Andrew are happy in any way to assist any prospective clients, so please do not hesitate to get in touch with us.
Jonathan started the business at a mere 15 years old in a South Molton (North Devon) shop. Since a very young age he accompanied his parents to antiques shops, as that was their passion. Jonathan was uninterested in this, however, but did eventually become attracted to it. At this time antiques shops generally acquired their stock privately by way of house clearance. Shops would have boxes of cheaply priced bric-a-brac for sale outside on the pavement, and it was here that Jonathan's interest began.
After a few years trading in South Molton and travelling to Germany to sell, Jonathan moved to larger premises in the centre of South Molton in 1990. This shop is still run under the name of Tredanitques by Roger Tredant, Jonathan's father, selling furniture and curios. Jonathan's business outgrew these premises and so he made the essential move to the current premises near Exeter Airport in 1996.
